Please note: You must complete the elearning package prior to attending your practical day. Unfortunately if you do not complete the the elearning course, you will not be eligible to attend the practical day and transfer fees may be charged.

The elearning package will prepare you for your practical day. The day consists of scenarios, demonstrations and discussions but the main emphasis is on hands on first aid where you will get to demonstrate the knowledge you have learned here in a practical manner.

Some of the hands on topics include:

• CPR
• Care of the unconscious casualty
• Bandaging
• RICE
• Fracture management
• Spinal management
• Cardiac condition
• Anaphylaxis

The day will be rounded off with a situation/scenario that you may be confronted with at any time. Enjoy the day and remember to have a go because it's better to make mistakes in the classroom than at the incident.
